The life of a Soldier
To be a soldier is a dangerous task.
Never knowing when duty will call.
Nerves on end, ready at a moments notice.
Harsh conditions and little sleep.
Going into battle never knowing if this is your last.
Will your friend survive this battle today?
Will you have to morn the loss of yet another friend?
How long will you be made to stay and fight?
A lot longer than you were told, it just isn't right!
Far away from your family and those you love.
You wait for mail call, for some word from home.
When none arrives, you feel so alone.
There is no glory or pleasure in what you do.
You are just serving your country, but wish you didn't have to.
The life of a Soldier is not for everyone.
You must stay strong in the face of death, until the job is done.

Love em!!!!! Are you going to let me post some on my site now I got the main stuff mostly done and I start to add content!!! I really like these poems!!!! Good luck with all the writting stuff!
